The same artificial intelligence (AI) software and sensors used in the humanoid robot 'Optimus' are present in Tesla's car's advanced driver assistant system 'Autopilot'. This robot works on a Tesla chip. The robot is equipped with a 2.3 kWh battery pack, which can easily operate throughout the day. It also has Wi-Fi and LTE support.

Robot can Pick Things by Color

Optimus has been trained to pick things by color. It automatically selects and separates colored blocks. Also, it corrects itself if any error occurs. It is being developed to replace low skilled workers.

Its humanoid form is designed to perform human tasks, from shopping in supermarkets to working on factory production lines.

Optimus Robot First Introduced in September 2022

The humanoid robot Optimus was first introduced during the 'Tesla AI Day' event held in October 2022. He is 5.8 feet tall and weighs around 50 kg. At the same time, 4 months ago, Tesla unveiled the new generation of its humanoid robot 'Optimus Gen 2'. The upgraded model can run 30% faster and also has better balance.
