Jeep India today (April 25) launched the facelifted version of its popular off-roader SUV Jeep Wrangler in India. The company has introduced the facelifted model of Wrangler in the global market last year. Now it has been launched in the Indian market with cosmetic changes and feature upgrades. The car is now equipped with advanced safety features like ADAS. As before, the SUV is available in two variants - Unlimited and Rubicon. Its ex-showroom price is Rs. 62.65 lakhs and for the top model Rs. 66.65 lakh goes up to Rs. This car has become 5 lakh rupees more expensive than the current model.

The new Wrangler has received bookings for over 100 units ahead of launch. It will be delivered to customers from May 2024 onwards. In India, the SUV will compete with the Land Rover Defender, the upcoming 5-door Thar and the 5-door Gurkha.

2024 Jeep Wrangler: Exterior Design

The front of the Wrangler facelift model features an all-black out grille, with a special 7-slat design that is slimmer than the current model. The Global Spec Wrangler gets alloy wheels in 10 different tire designs ranging from 17-20 inches to 35 inches.

There are many roof options available in SUVs. Standard models include a soft top, body-color hard top, black hard top, a combination of hard and soft top, and a Sunrider top that opens only for front passengers. However, the India-spec model will get limited options for alloy wheels and roof.

Jeep Wrangler Facelift: Interior

The SUV's dashboard design layout has been changed, with a center-mounted 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system standard across all variants. The infotainment screen runs on Jeep's U-Connect 5 system, which adds connected features to the SUV. It also includes 62 Famous Trails Offroad Guide, which comes in handy for navigation while offroading. Additionally, the air conditioning vents have also been redesigned.

Rest of the layout of the cabin remains the same as before. It also gets 12-way power adjustable front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a new semi-digital instrument cluster.

Jeep Wrangler Facelift: The Performance

India-spec pre-facelift Jeep Wrangler gets a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Which is available with power of 70hp and 400Nm. As for transmission, the engine is mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and Jeep's Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system as standard. The Wrangler facelift will come with a single powertrain option in India. Safety features include 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill start assist, electronic roll mitigation, automatic headlamps, rear sensors and a camera.
